The Lethbridge City Hall was originally designed with an open concept and with little consideration for access control and security. The City recognized this deficiency, and although security management had been continually improving the levels of security in the building by introducing various programs and initiatives, there is only so much that can be done without addressing major changes.
LEA, in conjunction with Globe Risk International (GRI), was retained to conduct a TRVA and a Physical Security Audit of the City Hall building and supporting infrastructure to meet the dynamic security demands of City Hall. LEA was tasked with balancing the above-mentioned requirements in a logical, and cost sensitive manner. The assessment resulted in numerous recommendations to the City regarding all aspects of security surrounding City Hall. In addition to the assessment, the team produced a Security Plan and Implementation Plan for Lethbridge City Hall to further define the security program framework and move the security recommendations forward.
