There’s been a lot of love recently for the new Mitchell Hall and Queen’s Innovation and Wellness Centre, formerly the Physical Education Centre (PEC).
Mitchell Hall, a project that LEA were structural consultants for, was recently featured in Award Magazine to recognize the architectural, design, and construction work completed on the project.
Additionally, LEA walked away from the Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards (OCEA) gala on April 26th, 2019 as the proud finalist for engineering projects from a 101-350 employee firm. The Mitchell Hall project, as well as our Highway 401/19 Structure Replacement and Interchange Improvement project, are both featured in OCEA’s Accolades digital magazine covering all nominees.
You can read the full Award Magazine article online here and our feature in OCEA’s Accolades magazine here.
As the structural consultants on this $85-million project, LEA is proud to have provided solutions that helped Queen’s meet their goal of repurposing the building into a modern space where students from all programs can come together to access wellness services, learn about entrepreneurship supports on campus, and to contribute to leading-edge education and research.
Congratulations once again to all the contributors for their hard work on this innovative project.
