LEA provided structural engineering services for this 9,000 ft² facility. The complex includes library and collection spaces as well as public circulation and book drop off. The building will overlook the skate park to the west. The building is built against an embankment, giving it a higher presence and allowing for elevated outdoor spaces. The structural system uses curved steel to suite the architectural geometry of the roof structure.
The new library will be attached to the existing community centre. The project has a visually distinctive design, while remaining complementary and acting as a modern addition to a much larger building development.
