LEA Consulting Ltd. was retained to provide municipal engineering services for the development of the property on 438 Church Street, Toronto (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens, MLG) and to prepare a Stormwater Management and Servicing Report as required for the Site Plan Application for the proposed development. The 438 Church Street is in the City of Toronto, in the downtown block at the southwest corner of Carlton Street and Church Street. It has frontages on Carlton Street, Church Street and Wood Street.
The proposed development is to convert and renovate Maple Leaf Gardens into a sport centre for Ryerson University, retail grocery facility and below-grade parking lot. The site is designated as high density Mixed Commercial – Residential Area “A” in the former City of Toronto Official Plan and has been permitted for the proposed use under both the Official Plan and the zoning Bylaw.
