Environmental noise is one of the most prevalent forms of pollution. As such, infrastructure projects often require that surrounding communities be protected from noise emissions. It is up to us to assess these conditions and develop solutions to mitigate and control sources of noise to ensure that communities remain unaffected by changes in development.

LEA is now offering Noise Control Consulting Services. The noise engineers on our team have a vast array of experience in providing solutions for all types of developments, including: noise barriers, windows and exterior walls, and indoor acoustic elements. With our state of the art equipment we can accurately and efficiently measure sound levels for any type of project. This includes long and short-term sound level monitoring, as well as measuring reference sound level data and testing indoor acoustics.

LEA’s professionals are experienced in the transportation noise software STAMSON, TNM 2.5 and STAMINA to predict noise levels for transportation noise sources. Our professionals also have extensive experience in developing noise models for stationary noise assessments using the latest noise modeling software, Cadna/A. These models allow us to accurately predict the sound levels in complex environments to identify any noise mitigation measures required to meet provincial and municipal sound level standards.
