Pinaki Roychowdhury, M.Tech.
Pinaki Roychowdhury joined the LEA Group in 1994 as a Senior Highway Engineer and rose within the organization to become Director of The LEA Group in 2004 and Managing Director of LEA Associates South Asia (an operating company of LEA Group) in 2006.
Pinaki has a vast amount of experience in large infrastructure projects in the Transportation Sector from Conceptualizing to Execution, namely preparing Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Design, Construction Management, Project Management and Contract Management across several countries including India, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Botswana, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. Besides executing large highway and expressway projects funded by multilateral and bilateral funding agencies successfully, Pinaki executed a number of projects under various PPP formats with Concessionaires from both developed and developing countries, including the U.K., Spain, Dubai, Malaysia, India and Bangladesh.
It is through his foresight and initiative, that LEA has expanded its business to several Asian and African Countries beyond Canada and India. Over the years, Pinaki has led, mentored, guided and built a team of professionals in the Engineering Division of LEA India and has been taking an active role in corporate affairs. Pinaki has been instrumental in laying a solid foundation for LEA Associates with specialization in 7 distinct verticals and full-fledged non-technical support departments.

Terry Wallace, P.Eng.

Terry has been involved in the LEA organization for more than 25 years, covering a diverse range of experience from transportation planning, engineering design and construction projects for both public and private sector clients throughout Ontario. These projects have included Light Rail Transit (LRT), subway stations, bus terminals and commuter parking lots, new and improved roadways, bridges and interchanges, and land development projects involving new mixed-use communities and commercial, industrial and institutional uses.
Terry first joined LEA as an Engineer-in-Training in 1989, and then quickly ascended to the role of Transportation Engineer and Project Manager in the mid-1990s. In 2003 Terry became a Director of the Board of the LEA Group, which oversees the firms operations in Canada and abroad. Subsequently in 2005, Terry was promoted to Vice-President of Transportation Engineering, responsible for the management of LEA’s Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Group. With LEA offices in India and abroad, Terry has also been active in travelling to India as part of his corporate responsibilities. Terry succeeded Dave Saunders as the President of LEA Consulting Ltd. in 2017.
As President, Terry brings a wealth of multi-discipline planning & engineering experience and many years of corporate experience from his various roles in the management of LEA. This experience will assist Terry in developing his vision for LEA for the next 10 to 15 years.
When not working, you can find Terry staying physically and mentally fit by playing golf with friends, working-out, and running along the Waterfront Trails of Toronto. He also enjoys spending weekends in the summer vacationing with his family at their cottage on Lake Huron.

Erin Prohaska, CPA, CA, MTax

Erin has over 10 years of experience and brings a breadth of finance, accounting, and taxation knowledge to LEA Consulting. Before joining LEA, Erin worked as the Director, Finance for the Waterloo-based, Infinite Potential Group. This position saw Erin play a critical role in the formation of business strategy and planning for financial decisions.Prior to her time at Infinite Group, Erin was a Senior Manager of the Private Company Services group at Deloitte specializing in corporate restructuring and estate planning, as well as personal and corporate tax issues for owner managers.
When not working, Erin likes to spend her spare time outdoors. She is an avid runner and has a keen interest in maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Annie Kee, BA, CHRL
Joined LEA in 2018.
Annie Kee has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources, spanning a wide range of industries from Legal, Finance, Accounting and most recently AdTech prior to joining LEA in the Engineering field.
Annie has been a key HR member of many of Canada’s largest companies, providing practical HR solutions and advice. She is strategic HR Business partner, delivering best practices and initiatives to attract and retain talent and improve engagement. Annie has worked in organizations of 50 to over 400 employees situated locally and internationally, and has also started an HR function from the ground up.
When not working, Annie enjoys yoga, travelling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Rick Baldasti, P. Eng.
Joined LEA in: 1997
Rick has been with LEA Consulting Ltd. for 20 years. During this time he has played a key role in a diverse mix of highway, transit, civil, municipal, and private sector projects throughout Ontario.
Rick has been responsible in various lead capacities on numerous assignments involving the preliminary and detail design of highways, municipal roads, transit infrastructure, site servicing, Storm Water Management (SWM), site development, parking facilities, complex traffic staging, construction sequencing, and challenging utility conflict mitigation and relocations. Rick’s expertise is even broader in scope, with experience in conceptual and functional design, road safety reviews, property acquisition planning, coordination of approvals and permits, SWM and site servicing reports, value engineering exercises, environmental approvals and assessments, contract administration, and several large scale design-build ventures.
When not working, Rick looks forward to heading north to his family cottage near Mactier, Ontario where he enjoys quality time on the lake with close family and friends.

Andrew Brown, MCIP, RPP
Joined LEA in: 1995
Andrew has over 25 years of experience managing and working with multidisciplinary staff; conducting transportation planning studies and environmental assessments for both private and public sector clients in Southern Ontario. With projects ranging from policy development to design and implementation, Andrew has experience and an understanding of the complexities in formulating broader public initiatives affecting landowners and agencies.
Over his career, Andrew has carried out numerous transportation planning studies, such as the West Don Lands Master Plan, the Port Lands, Toronto West-Central Strategic Transportation Network, the Bathurst/Lakeshore Area, the Yonge Street North Planning Study, as well as managing and developing transportation visions for landowner groups in municipalities such as Brampton and Caledon. Andrew’s wealth of experience undertaking Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (MCEAs) include projects like the Front Street Reconfiguration, the Dufferin Street Bridges, North Queen Street, the Algonquin Island Bridge, and the TTC Waterfront West Light Rail Transit MCEAs. Andrew has worked closely with a variety of municipal and agency staff and has appeared before the OMB, municipal councils and committees to present and support the results of these studies.
When not working, Andrew continues his lifetime pursuit of physical, mental and spiritual advancement as a 7th Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. He is also an avid cyclist, cycling not only for pleasure but for exercise, and an easier commute to our downtown office.

Kenneth Chan, P.Eng., PTOE, PMP
Joined LEA in 2002.
Ken Chan has over 16 years of experience in Transportation Engineering. He is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) with the Transportation Professional Certification Board Inc., a member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and a certified Professional Project Manager (PMP) with Project Management Institute . Ken has been with LEA since 2002. Since then, Ken has worked in many roles within the Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Group, and was most recently appointed the Head of Transportation Engineering.
Throughout his career, Ken has worked on numerous large scale public sector projects including the Finch West Station construction design, Eglinton Crosstown LRT traffic management, and the Hurontario-Main LRT Traffic Operational Assessment. Ken has also conducted and supervised over 200 transportation related traffic reports including Transportation Impact Studies, Traffic Impact Assessments, Traffic Operational Studies, Traffic Corridor Studies, Parking Studies, Loading Studies and Traffic Demand Management Plans. Additionally, Ken have extensive experiences with medium and small scale detailed design, tender packages preparation, and Construction Administration of road widening and intersection improvements projects.
When not working, Ken enjoys renovating and spending time with his wife and young family by exploring nature and the urban fabric of Downtown Toronto via the public transportation system.

Stanley Hung, P.Eng

Stanley has been involved with various preliminary design, detailed design, construction management, and new product development activities at LEA. As a result of his extensive experience, Stanley has developed a keen understanding of design, project management, and construction contract administration of ATMS projects. Particular areas of expertise include the development and management of Intelligent Transportation System projects, as well as traffic signal control system design and traffic signal operation. He has provided assessments and design efforts towards the selection and implementation of traffic control systems and associated components (communication, transit signal priority, emergency vehicle pre-emption, and audible pedestrian signals).
When not working, Stanley can be seen doing automotive maintenance, driving, fixing and building hobby projects.

Rick Krutzler, P.Eng.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of bridge and heavy civil structural engineering, Richard has been responsible for the project management, structural design of engineering projects, and construction supervision of both new and rehabilitation structures. He is experienced in detailed structural inspections of bridges and transit structures and is experienced in preliminary design field involving both rehabilitation and replacement alternatives.
Richard comes from a background in construction. After graduating, he spent a good portion of his career inspecting existing structures and conducting detail design of complex bridge and transit structures. He has led engineering design teams in the detail and rehabilitation design of bridges and underground subway stations in existing operating environments where constructability and complex staging is a major undertaking. His experience on projects also includes scheduling, cost estimating, and constructability along with engineering support through construction involving dealing with site conditions and resolving construction related issues.
When not working, you can find Rick spending time with friends and his family who mean everything to him. In the summer, time is spent up at the cottage and in the winter, it is spent playing hockey or skiing whenever possible.

Mohammad Majdabadi, PE, P.Eng.

Mohammad has been working with reputed consulting engineering firms in different countries for more than 35 years, out of which 25 years has been exclusively in Senior Capacities on Major Projects of a diversified nature. He has gained extensive international experience regarding highways and bridges, transportation facilities, heavy civil structures, and related works. Mohammad has substantial experience and skills in project planning, detailed design, proof checking, construction supervision, contract administration, quality assurance and quality control, project administration and management.
When not working, Mohammad can be found enjoying classical music, watching movies, and travelling.

Leo Rojas, P.Eng

Leo has been involved in Municipal Design and Contract Administration for the last 15 years. Leo is analytical in project sequencing and completion strategies for maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitability. He is also very skilled in project budgeting and cost analysis with an accomplished background in estimating.
Leo has project management experience on provincial and international construction projects including the construction and rehabilitation of highways, bridges, and municipal infrastructure. In the design field he has been responsible for planning and designing water supply systems, sewage systems, drainage structures, retention ponds, hydrologic/hydraulic models for watershed and streams, and Stormwater management – including the effects of urban development.
When not working, Leo is the proud father of three wonderful children and enjoys photography and artisan cheesemaking.

Shahé Sagharian, P.Eng.

With over 25 years’ experience, Shahé has been with LEA since 2004, and prior to that, Halsall Associates since 1989. Shahé has extensive experience in justice and security facilities. He has designed and managed a wide variety of structures for new buildings and renovations encompassing commercial, institutional and cultural facilities. He has particular expertise in dealing with the special needs of work in or adjacent to existing structures.
Shahé has successfully managed hundreds of multi-million dollar projects, including highly complex infrastructure developments, across the Greater Toronto Area and the Middle East. In 2006 he established Halsall’s Business in Dubai. He brings innovation, energy and enthusiasm to all of his projects and strives to bring new ideas to the table to make each project unique and cost effective.
When not working, Shahe likes to spend time experiencing built forms of the world; both man made, and naturally created. He likes to follow the latest trends in building architecture and public realms while spending considerable time outdoors learning the natural environment.

Stephen Simpson, P.Eng

Stephen brings 18 years of experience to LEA, with a degree in Systems Engineering and holds Level II Secret Security Clearance. Stephen has extensive expertise in consulting for Project Management, Contract Administration, Intelligent Transportation Systems Design, Access Control and Security System Design, Telecommunications and Fibre Optic Network Planning, Data Backup and Recovery Planning.
Recent projects include the detailed design for an infrastructure security and access control system for the Peel Regional Police.
