November 8th marked the annual celebration of World Town Planning Day where planners around the world raise awareness of the importance of planning in their communities by participating in local activities. On November 8th, LEA’s Chris Sidlar and Kelsey Waugh travelled to Northern Secondary School in Toronto to celebrate World Town planning Day. Chris and Kelsey sat with approximately 30 students to give the next generation insight on urban planning and transportation planning as a career option.
Students of Northern Secondary School learned about what city planners and transportation professionals do and some of the interesting projects they get to work on. The students also had the opportunity to redesign the urban landscape of Scarborough Civic Centre!
